MP LaVar Payne has asked the Taber & District Chamber of Commerce for input regarding the upcoming budget.
The input requested is the following:
What would you want to say to the government regarding their fiscal policy going forward?
1.If we are still recovering from the recession, does the government continue to fund programs that help to bring the economy up or stop the spending and work more quickly toward recovery?
2.Should the government research and fund new programs to assist business through the recession?
3.If, in the Chamber’s opinion, the economy has recovered sufficiently, should the government aggressively cut spending to start chipping away quickly at the deficit or should it proceed at a slower pace until there is no doubt that the recovery has taken place?
